How it all started...
On August 16, 1998, Pastor Ward Hudson and 51 others started New Hope Community Church in the Barn of one of our faithful church members. Eventually the church moved to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Alvarado until property was purchased and donated for a permanent church home on County Road 506, her current location.
Expanding the vision...
On January 9, 2001, the current church building was dedicated and the church moved into her new home. Pastor Craig Simms began his ministry as the church's pastor on October 30, 2005.
Where we are headed...
On December 20, 2020, Mark McDaniel joined our church as Pastor. The church is firmly committed to its Core Values which point towards all members of the church to be missionaries where they are placed in their world. We believe that our church's calling is to care for our friends, families, neighbors, and local community as Christ directed us when He read the scroll of Isaiah, Chapter 61, as He began His earthly ministry.
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
